About Ryan
I started Fuchs & Associates because I have seen firsthand the power that exists when an organization's day-to-day motions are in sync with its corporate priorities. When this is true, organizations hum towards their goals like machines. Meetings are focused on doing work instead of endless discussion, and people leave them feeling accomplished. People feel empowered and excited to be a part of a team with a purpose, that knows how to win. I get tremendous satisfaction out of helping leaders see their organizations as systems and implementing the techniques and tools needed to make this operating state a reality.
About the firm
Fuchs & Associates is my firm, and I lead every engagement. The first thing I bring is knowing how to help you. The second is knowing what expertise your situation calls for and where to find it. When a project needs depth in a particular industry or function, I bring in an associate who has it, so you get the right specialist without having to go looking for one yourself.
Vision and mission
The work I would point a new client to first. At a local engineering firm, the partners brought me in to solidify what the company stood for, and we wrote the mission, the values and the ten-year target with the team, then built the hiring rubric that follows from them. I have done the same kind of work pro bono for a pediatric therapy nonprofit, for a diabetes nonprofit, and for a health-focused nonprofit.
Running the operating system
For eight years I have run the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) as an integrator, the person who makes the planning, the meetings and the scorecard work week after week. First for clients, including an ongoing implementation with the leadership and marketing teams of a fast-growing consumer products company, and now as chief operating officer of Thrivable, a health technology startup, where I run the operating cadence, planning and hiring. Before that: more than ten years in strategy and operations as a consultant, an executive and an entrepreneur, including retail operations work for a federal agency and an internal project standardizing audit procedures at a global professional services firm, an MBA from Georgetown University, and training in Agile, Lean and EOS.
The last two years, with AI

As COO at Thrivable, I'm leading the company's AI rollout. Out of that came a five-step training program where each step ends in something the team has shipped, so people learn on their own work rather than on examples. Along the way I've built countless dashboards, agents that handle simple tasks, and a system that tracks every product I'm managing at once and helps me prioritize my workload. The lesson in all of it is that tools which used to be impractical for a small team, because of what it cost to develop them, are now within reach. And the person who builds them no longer has to be a developer you spend months teaching your business to. It can be someone who understands your needs first, and is also equipped to build what fills the gaps and makes the work easier. That is the second half of this firm.
What that means for you
If you run a leadership team, you get someone who has done the integrator job for eight years and has written mission and vision with teams that still use them. If you run a business without a technology team, you get someone who has spent the last two years building the kind of system you need, and who would rather hand it to you working than sell you a platform.
